Naucratius Hog Camp: Zachary, LA- March 3-8, 2023
Join the Order of Naucratius for the first annual hog harvest hunting retreat. We will immerse ourselves in creation care through learning how to hunt, butcher, process, and cook wild game form God’s abundance. Friends and first-timers are welcome.
Camp Naucratius, Camp Chickagami, Presque Isle, MI – June 23-25, 2023
Save the Date for our second Camp Naucratius! This is a family camp experience run by Camp Chickagami, a ministry of the Episcopal Diocese of Eastern Michigan. We are grateful for this ongoing partnership with camp to provide meaningful space for our friends and family of Naucratius to come together and enjoy camp for a few days. There is excellent food and fellowship, light programming, and all your favorite camp activities at typical family camp experiences, plus fishing! As soon as more information is available, we will post those links here.
Big Red Classic: Holland, MI – August 4-6, 2023
The Big Red Classic is Great Lakes Fishing Tournament hosted by the Big Red Foundation whose goal is to provide a significant contribution to the Boys and Girls Club of Western Michigan as a direct result of hosting this event.
Annual Big Lake Charity Fishing Tournament: Holland, MI – Saturday, May 21, 2023
This tournament has been set up to address hunger in the Holland (and surrounding) areas. Each year, the funds raised are used for advancing the mission of the order and all fish are donated to Community Action House Kitchen (Holland) to support their mission. Our major partner each year in this tournament is Big Lake Brewery, Holland. They generously donate the t-shirts for the tournament and host our captain’s meeting. Maybe someday we’ll even see a Naucratite IPA on tap (hint, hint).
Our hope, each year, is that all fish will be donated to The Order of Naucratius to be distributed to local food pantries and feeding programs who’ve been vetted by ONWM (in this case all fish that they can take will go to Community Action House).
Benzie Frenzie: Frankfort, MI – August 25-27, 2023
Since 2017, the ONWM organizes dozens of volunteers who process hundreds of filets of Lake Michigan Salmon and Trout for local pantries in Benzie County. This event is one of many along the Tournament Trail. We are grateful to our outpost at St. Philip’s Episcopal Church, in Beulah, MI, for organizing this project!
